As a Power Systems Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the electrical & computer engineering team works. This position is based in Raleigh, NC. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Raleigh location.
What you’ll do
- Support interconnection studies for renewable generation
- Design substation, distribution and protection systems
- Prepare drawings and specifications for utility projects
- Perform load flow, short circuit and arc flash studies
- Develop relay settings and coordination studies
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of protective relaying
- Understanding of NEC, IEEE and NERC standards
- Strong analytical skills
Nice to have
- Experience with battery storage or solar interconnection
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Raleigh, NC is $94,000 – $119,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
