The employer is a packaging manufacturer running high-speed production lines across several plants.
As a Manufacturing Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in Phoenix, AZ. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Phoenix location.
What you’ll do
- Write work instructions and process documentation
- Design fixtures, tooling and work cells
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
- CAD skills for fixture design
Nice to have
- Experience with automation and robotics
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Phoenix, AZ is $51 – $63 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
