As a Civil Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Virginia Beach location.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
- Support construction administration, including submittal review and site visits
- Produce construction drawings and specifications in Civil 3D
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Prepare site, grading, utility and drainage designs for land development projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge of local and state design standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong technical writing skills
Nice to have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Virginia Beach, VA is $87,000 – $111,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
