Our Rio Rancho office is growing, and we need an Associate Structural Engineer who can learn quickly and contribute from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative civil engineering group and report to the civil engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Rio Rancho location.
What you’ll do
- Review shop drawings and answer contractor RFIs
- Analyze and design steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
- Prepare calculations and structural drawings coordinated in Revit
- Build analysis models in RISA, ETABS or SAP2000
- Perform condition assessments of existing structures
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Strong hand-calculation skills
- Clear communication with architects and contractors
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes
Nice to have
- Seismic design experience
- Master’s degree in structural engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Rio Rancho, NM is $67,000 – $85,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
