The employer is looking for an Associate HVAC Design Engineer in Simi Valley, CA. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Simi Valley location.
What you’ll do
- Select equipment and write specifications
- Model systems and produce construction documents in Revit
- Support construction administration and commissioning
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare and education buildings
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- Experience with load calculation software
- Experience producing construction documents
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with energy modeling in eQUEST or IES
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Simi Valley, CA is $82,000 – $104,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
