The employer is a regional electric utility serving residential, commercial and industrial customers.
We are hiring a Petroleum Engineer Intern to join our petroleum engineering team in Lewisville. You will gain hands-on experience on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Lewisville location.
What you’ll do
- Perform reservoir and decline-curve analysis
- Prepare economic evaluations for development projects
- Plan and optimize well completions and production
- Coordinate with geoscience and operations teams
- Monitor field performance and recommend workovers
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering
- Familiarity with industry software such as Petrel or ARIES
- Willingness to visit field locations
- Strong economic analysis skills
Nice to have
- Unconventional reservoir experience
- PE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Lewisville, TX is $33 – $39 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
