Civil Engineer Intern

We are hiring a Civil Engineer Intern to join our civil engineering team in Mesa. You will gain hands-on experience on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our Mesa location.
What you’ll do
- Support construction administration, including submittal review and site visits
- Prepare cost estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Coordinate with municipal reviewers and secure permits
- Prepare site, grading, utility and drainage designs for land development projects
- Produce construction drawings and specifications in Civil 3D
- Prepare stormwater reports and calculations
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Strong technical writing skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Working knowledge of local and state design standards
Nice to have
- Experience with HEC-RAS or SWMM
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Mesa, AZ is $24 – $28 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
