As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the industrial & manufacturing engineering team works. This position is based in Athens, GA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Athens location.
What you’ll do
- Write work instructions and process documentation
- Drive scrap reduction, cycle-time and cost improvements
- Design fixtures, tooling and work cells
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Lead PFMEAs and root-cause investigations
- Support new product introduction on the production floor
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment
- CAD skills for fixture design
- Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with automation and robotics
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Athens, GA is $97,000 – $123,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
