We are hiring a Senior Field Service Engineer to join our mechanical engineering team in Grand Rapids. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Grand Rapids location.
What you’ll do
- Document service visits and feed issues back to engineering
- Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades
- Train customer operators and maintenance staff
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software issues
- Install, commission and service equipment at customer sites
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Strong customer service skills
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with industrial automation equipment
- Experience servicing medical or semiconductor equipment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Grand Rapids, MI is $89,000 – $113,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
