The employer is looking for a Software Engineer in Wilmington, NC. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Wilmington location.
What you’ll do
- Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
- Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
- Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
- Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
Nice to have
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Wilmington, NC is $112,000 – $143,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
