The employer is a software company building workflow and analytics tools for operations teams.
We are hiring a Software Engineer to join our software engineering team in Huntington Beach. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Huntington Beach office.
What you’ll do
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
- Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
- Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Huntington Beach, CA is $95 – $116 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
