The employer is looking for an Associate Materials Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK. In this role you will learn quickly and contribute alongside an experienced materials engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Oklahoma City office.
What you’ll do
- Write material specifications and test reports
- Support suppliers with process and material issues
- Run mechanical, thermal and microstructural testing
- Select and qualify materials for new product designs
- Perform failure analysis on returned and field components
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Metallurgical Engineering
- Knowledge of metals, polymers or composites
- Experience with materials characterization methods
- Laboratory experience
Nice to have
- Experience with additive manufacturing
- Graduate degree in materials science
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Oklahoma City, OK is $65,000 – $82,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
