As a Senior Project Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the construction engineering team works. This position is based in Detroit, MI. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Detroit location.
What you’ll do
- Manage RFIs, submittals and change orders on commercial construction projects
- Track budgets and costs alongside the project manager
- Coordinate subcontractors and track the project schedule
- Review drawings and specifications for conflicts
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with Procore or similar construction software
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Strong organizational skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience on projects over $20M
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Detroit, MI is $106,000 – $135,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
