As a Power Systems Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the electrical & computer engineering team works. This position is based in Beaumont, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Beaumont office.
What you’ll do
- Support interconnection studies for renewable generation
- Design substation, distribution and protection systems
- Develop relay settings and coordination studies
- Perform load flow, short circuit and arc flash studies
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Understanding of NEC, IEEE and NERC standards
- Knowledge of protective relaying
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with battery storage or solar interconnection
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Beaumont, TX is $98,000 – $125,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
