We are hiring a Staff Front-End Engineer to join our software engineering team in Cary. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Cary office.
What you’ll do
- Build responsive, accessible user interfaces in React and TypeScript
- Work with back-end engineers to define clean API contracts
- Measure and improve page performance and Core Web Vitals
- Write unit and end-to-end tests for user-facing features
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Production experience with React or a comparable framework
- Working knowledge of HTML semantics, CSS layout and browser developer tools
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with Next.js or server-side rendering
- Familiarity with design systems and Figma
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Cary, NC is $154,000 – $196,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
