The employer is looking for a Mechanical Engineer in Kansas City, MO. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced mechanical engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Kansas City office.
What you’ll do
- Perform FEA and hand calculations to validate designs
- Run tolerance stack-ups and apply GD&T to drawings
- Manage engineering change orders and documentation
- Build and test prototypes, then iterate on the results
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing on design for manufacturability
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of GD&T
Nice to have
- Experience with injection molding or sheet-metal design
- Experience with ANSYS or Abaqus
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Kansas City, MO is $81,000 – $103,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
