The employer is a mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering firm specializing in high-performance buildings.
As a Structural Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in Hollywood, FL. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Hollywood office.
What you’ll do
- Review shop drawings and answer contractor RFIs
- Analyze and design steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
- Perform condition assessments of existing structures
- Build analysis models in RISA, ETABS or SAP2000
- Prepare calculations and structural drawings coordinated in Revit
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with structural analysis software
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes
- Clear communication with architects and contractors
Nice to have
- Seismic design experience
- Master’s degree in structural engineering
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Hollywood, FL is $53 – $65 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
