Process Engineer Intern

Our San Jose office is growing, and we need a Process Engineer Intern who can gain hands-on experience from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative chemical engineering group and report to the chemical engineering manager. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our San Jose location.
What you’ll do
- Run designed experiments to improve process capability
- Monitor and optimize unit operations for yield, quality and cost
- Troubleshoot production issues with operations and maintenance
- Lead process hazard analyses and management-of-change reviews
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Strong chemical engineering fundamentals
- Data analysis skills
- Knowledge of process safety practices
Nice to have
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Jose, CA is $33 – $39 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
