The employer is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Jurupa Valley, CA. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced data engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Jurupa Valley office.
What you’ll do
- Optimize warehouse cost and query performance
- Monitor data quality and fix pipeline failures quickly
- Model data in dbt so analysts and data scientists can rely on it
- Work with stakeholders to turn reporting needs into data products
- Build and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into the data warehouse
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Understanding of dimensional data modeling
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with data contracts or data observability tools
- Experience with Spark or Flink
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Jurupa Valley, CA is $176,000 – $224,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
