The employer is looking for a Senior Security Engineer in North Las Vegas, NV. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our North Las Vegas location.
What you’ll do
- Support compliance work such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits
- Harden cloud identity and access management
- Build detections and respond to security incidents
- Manage vulnerability scanning and drive remediation with engineering teams
- Run threat models and security reviews for new features and infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with a SIEM or log analysis platform
- Working knowledge of common attack techniques and defenses
- Experience in application, cloud or infrastructure security
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Security certifications such as OSCP, CISSP or GIAC
- Experience with container security
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in North Las Vegas, NV is $153,000 – $195,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
