As a Staff DevOps Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in New York, NY. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New York office.
What you’ll do
- Take part in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship safely several times a day
- Harden infrastructure and automate security patching
- Set up monitoring, alerting and dashboards for production systems
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider
- Experience running containerized workloads in production
- Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tooling
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Kubernetes certification (CKA or CKAD)
- Experience with service meshes
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $216,000 – $275,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
