As a Water Resources Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in Palmdale, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Palmdale office.
What you’ll do
- Design water distribution, sewer and pump station improvements
- Model hydrology and hydraulics for flood control and stormwater projects
- Analyze data in GIS to support capital planning
- Prepare master plans and engineering reports for municipal clients
- Support grant applications and regulatory submittals
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or SWMM
- Working GIS skills
- Understanding of hydraulics and hydrology
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with InfoWater or WaterGEMS
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Palmdale, CA is $108,000 – $137,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
