As a Transportation Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in San Antonio, TX. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our San Antonio office.
What you’ll do
- Perform traffic impact and signal timing studies in Synchro
- Design signing, striping and maintenance-of-traffic plans
- Present findings at public meetings
- Design roadway, intersection and multimodal improvements
- Prepare plans, specifications and estimates for DOT projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong written communication
- Knowledge of MUTCD and AASHTO standards
- Experience with traffic analysis software
Nice to have
- PE or PTOE certification
- Experience on state DOT projects
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Antonio, TX is $58 – $71 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
