The employer is looking for a Transportation Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced civil engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Perform traffic impact and signal timing studies in Synchro
- Present findings at public meetings
- Design signing, striping and maintenance-of-traffic plans
- Prepare plans, specifications and estimates for DOT projects
- Design roadway, intersection and multimodal improvements
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads or Civil 3D
- Experience with traffic analysis software
- Strong written communication
Nice to have
- PE or PTOE certification
- Experience on state DOT projects
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $111,000 – $141,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
