As a Transportation Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in Lexington, KY. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Lexington location.
What you’ll do
- Design roadway, intersection and multimodal improvements
- Perform traffic impact and signal timing studies in Synchro
- Present findings at public meetings
- Design signing, striping and maintenance-of-traffic plans
- Prepare plans, specifications and estimates for DOT projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of MUTCD and AASHTO standards
- Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads or Civil 3D
- Experience with traffic analysis software
Nice to have
- Experience on state DOT projects
- PE or PTOE certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Lexington, KY is $79,000 – $101,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
