Systems Engineer Intern

The employer is a space company building small-satellite platforms and ground systems.
Our San Francisco office is growing, and we need a Systems Engineer Intern who can gain hands-on experience from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative systems engineering group and report to the systems engineering manager. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is on site at our San Francisco location.
What you’ll do
- Define interfaces and maintain interface control documents
- Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements
- Build system models in SysML
- Lead technical reviews with customers and suppliers
- Plan and track verification and validation activities
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Strong written communication
- Ability to work across disciplines
- Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle
Nice to have
- INCOSE certification
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $40 – $47 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
