We are hiring a Staff Network Engineer to join our software engineering team in Thornton. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Thornton office.
What you’ll do
- Document network designs and standards
- Design, build and support enterprise LAN, WAN and data center networks
- Configure routing, switching, firewalls and SD-WAN
- Automate network changes with Python and Ansible
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot outages
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper or Arista platforms
- Clear documentation habits
- Firewall administration experience
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- CCNP or CCIE certification
- Experience with cloud networking
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Thornton, CO is $150,000 – $190,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
