As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer with the employer, you will set technical direction and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Riverside, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Riverside location.
What you’ll do
- Optimize model latency and serving cost
- Work with data scientists to move prototypes into reliable systems
- Build feature pipelines and model monitoring
- Design offline and online experiments to measure model impact
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Solid understanding of statistics and model evaluation
- Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in a quantitative field
- Experience with large language models or retrieval systems
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Riverside, CA is $239,000 – $304,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
