Staff DevOps Engineer

The employer is a cybersecurity company providing managed detection and response to regulated industries.

We are hiring a Staff DevOps Engineer to join our software engineering team in Fort Lauderdale. You will set technical direction on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Fort Lauderdale office.

What you’ll do

• Set up monitoring, alerting and dashboards for production systems
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship safely several times a day
• Take part in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
• Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
• Operate Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, scaling and cost control
• Harden infrastructure and automate security patching
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work
• Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tooling
• A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery

Nice to have

• Experience with service meshes
• Kubernetes certification (CKA or CKAD)

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Fort Lauderdale, FL is $166,000 – $211,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
