Our Dallas office is growing, and we need a Staff DevOps Engineer who can set technical direction from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative software engineering group and report to the software engineering manager. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Dallas office.
What you’ll do
- Take part in an on-call rotation and lead incident reviews
- Manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that let teams ship safely several times a day
- Harden infrastructure and automate security patching
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
- Set technical standards and guide decisions across multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience running containerized workloads in production
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with service meshes
- Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Dallas, TX is $167,000 – $213,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
