Software Engineer

The employer is a SaaS company building scheduling and dispatch software for field service businesses.

We are hiring a Software Engineer to join our software engineering team in Tucson. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Tucson office.

What you’ll do

• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
• Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing

Nice to have

• Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Tucson, AZ is $119,000 – $152,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
