The employer is looking for a Software Engineer in Syracuse, NY. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Syracuse location.
What you’ll do
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
- Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
- Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
- Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
Nice to have
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Syracuse, NY is $133,000 – $169,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
