Our Savannah office is growing, and we need a Software Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative software engineering group and report to the software engineering manager. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Savannah location.
What you’ll do
- Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
- Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
Nice to have
- Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Savannah, GA is $73 – $89 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
