The employer is looking for a Software Engineer in San Diego, CA. In this role you will work independently alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our San Diego office.
What you’ll do
- Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
- Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in San Diego, CA is $138,000 – $176,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
