Software Engineer

The employer is a software company building workflow and analytics tools for operations teams.

As a Software Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Omaha, NE. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Omaha office.

What you’ll do

• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
• Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
• Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL

Nice to have

• Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Omaha, NE is $111,000 – $141,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
