As a Software Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in New York, NY. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
- Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
- Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $143,000 – $181,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
