Our Little Rock office is growing, and we need a Software Engineer who can work independently from day one. You will work closely with a collaborative software engineering group and report to the software engineering manager. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is on site at our Little Rock location.
What you’ll do
- Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
- Write clean, well-tested code and review pull requests from teammates
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
Nice to have
- Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Little Rock, AR is $71 – $87 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
