Software Engineer

The employer is a robotics company building autonomous systems for warehouses and agriculture.

We are hiring a Software Engineer to join our software engineering team in Jacksonville. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Jacksonville office.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
• Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $73 – $90 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
