Software Engineer

The employer is a cloud software company helping mid-size businesses manage billing and payments.

As a Software Engineer with the employer, you will work independently and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Cincinnati, OH. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Cincinnati location.

What you’ll do

• Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Cincinnati, OH is $111,000 – $141,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
