We are hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to join our software engineering team in Springfield. You will work independently on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Springfield location.
What you’ll do
- Lead incident response and write blameless post-incident reviews
- Build tooling that removes toil from operations work
- Run capacity planning and load testing for critical services
- Improve the observability stack: metrics, logs and traces
- Define service level objectives with product teams and track error budgets
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Deep Linux and networking fundamentals
- Proficiency in Go, Python or a similar language
- Experience operating large-scale production systems
Nice to have
- Experience with chaos engineering
- Experience in a regulated or high-availability environment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Springfield, IL is $122,000 – $155,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
