As a Site Reliability Engineer Intern with the employer, you will gain hands-on experience and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Houston, TX. This is a 12-week paid summer internship. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Houston office.
What you’ll do
- Lead incident response and write blameless post-incident reviews
- Build tooling that removes toil from operations work
- Run capacity planning and load testing for critical services
- Define service level objectives with product teams and track error budgets
- Improve the observability stack: metrics, logs and traces
What you’ll bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience operating large-scale production systems
- Deep Linux and networking fundamentals
- Experience with modern observability tooling
Nice to have
- Experience with chaos engineering
- Experience in a regulated or high-availability environment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Houston, TX is $34 – $40 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
