We are hiring a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our civil engineering team in New Orleans. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our New Orleans office.
What you’ll do
- Design water distribution, sewer and pump station improvements
- Analyze data in GIS to support capital planning
- Support grant applications and regulatory submittals
- Prepare master plans and engineering reports for municipal clients
- Model hydrology and hydraulics for flood control and stormwater projects
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Working GIS skills
- Strong report writing
- Understanding of hydraulics and hydrology
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE license
- Experience with InfoWater or WaterGEMS
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New Orleans, LA is $98,000 – $125,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
