The employer is looking for a Senior Transportation Engineer in New York, NY. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced civil engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our New York location.
What you’ll do
- Design roadway, intersection and multimodal improvements
- Present findings at public meetings
- Prepare plans, specifications and estimates for DOT projects
- Design signing, striping and maintenance-of-traffic plans
- Perform traffic impact and signal timing studies in Synchro
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads or Civil 3D
- Knowledge of MUTCD and AASHTO standards
- Strong written communication
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience on state DOT projects
- PE or PTOE certification
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in New York, NY is $137,000 – $175,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
