As a Senior Transportation Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Los Angeles location.
What you’ll do
- Perform traffic impact and signal timing studies in Synchro
- Prepare plans, specifications and estimates for DOT projects
- Design signing, striping and maintenance-of-traffic plans
- Present findings at public meetings
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of MUTCD and AASHTO standards
- Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads or Civil 3D
- Strong written communication
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE or PTOE certification
- Experience on state DOT projects
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $134,000 – $171,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
