As a Senior Structural Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the civil engineering team works. This position is based in Nashville, TN. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is on site at our Nashville location.
What you’ll do
- Review shop drawings and answer contractor RFIs
- Analyze and design steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
- Perform condition assessments of existing structures
- Prepare calculations and structural drawings coordinated in Revit
- Build analysis models in RISA, ETABS or SAP2000
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong hand-calculation skills
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes
- Clear communication with architects and contractors
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in structural engineering
- PE or SE license
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Nashville, TN is $102,000 – $130,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
