The employer is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer in Chicago, IL. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced civil engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Chicago office.
What you’ll do
- Build analysis models in RISA, ETABS or SAP2000
- Perform condition assessments of existing structures
- Analyze and design steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
- Review shop drawings and answer contractor RFIs
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong hand-calculation skills
- Experience with structural analysis software
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI codes
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- PE or SE license
- Seismic design experience
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Chicago, IL is $112,000 – $143,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
