As a Senior Software Engineer with the employer, you will lead technical work and help shape how the software engineering team works. This position is based in Round Rock, TX. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Round Rock office.
What you’ll do
- Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
- Contribute to technical design documents and architecture discussions
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, and write the follow-up that keeps them from recurring
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Round Rock, TX is $151,000 – $192,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
