The employer is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Naperville, IL. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Naperville office.
What you’ll do
- Automate repetitive build, test and release steps
- Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
- Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
- Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
- Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
- Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Naperville, IL is $155,000 – $197,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
