Senior Software Engineer

The employer is a SaaS company building scheduling and dispatch software for field service businesses.

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our software engineering team in Bend. You will lead technical work on projects that matter to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Bend office.

What you’ll do

• Mentor teammates and help raise the bar for code quality on the team
• Improve performance, reliability and observability across the services you own
• Design, build and maintain services and features used by thousands of customers every day
• Partner with product managers and designers to scope and estimate new work
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• Professional experience shipping production software in at least one modern language
• Comfort working with version control, code review and automated testing
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL
• A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience building distributed systems or event-driven architectures

Compensation and benefits

The pay range for this position in Bend, OR is $148,000 – $189,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
