The employer is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Stockton, CA. In this role you will lead technical work alongside an experienced software engineering team and take real ownership of your work. This is a full-time, permanent position. This role is hybrid, with three days a week in our Stockton office.
What you’ll do
- Run capacity planning and load testing for critical services
- Improve the observability stack: metrics, logs and traces
- Lead incident response and write blameless post-incident reviews
- Define service level objectives with product teams and track error budgets
- Build tooling that removes toil from operations work
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience operating large-scale production systems
- Deep Linux and networking fundamentals
- Experience with modern observability tooling
- A track record of leading projects from scope through delivery
Nice to have
- Experience with chaos engineering
- Experience in a regulated or high-availability environment
Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position in Stockton, CA is $178,000 – $227,000 per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills and qualifications.
